How to film your soup kitchen
Watch our quick tutorial to learn how to create an effective video for your facility.

What to film
Record at least three short clips (about 10 seconds each):
- THE ENTRANCE: Show the outside of your building so visitors can recognize it when they arrive.
- THE ASSEMBLY LINE: Capture your team in action preparing or serving food.
- THE FOOD: Show off a meal! Let people see what they can expect.
Tips for a GREAT! video
- Share basic info like your address and hours of operation.
- Answer at least 3 questions from our suggested list (see below).
- Film in good lighting (natural daylight works best).
- Hold your phone horizontally for a wider shot.
- Keep clips steady—lean against a wall if needed.
Questions to answer on your video
Pick at least three questions to help tell your story:
- What days and hours do you serve meals?
- What type of food do you typically serve?
- Do people need to bring ID or register?
- Is your facility wheelchair accessible?
- What languages does your staff speak?
- Do you offer vegetarian, halal, or kosher options?
- Can families with children come?
- Is there seating, available or is it grab-and-go?
- What’s one thing you want visitors to know about your facility?
